James Bond 007 is on the search for a Russian decoding machine, known as Lektor. Bond needs to find this machine, before the evil SPECTRE organization discovers it first. After Bond helps Russian officer Georgi Koskov ('Jeroen Krabbe'(qv)) make a daring defection to the West, the intelligence community is shocked when Koskov is abducted from his remote hiding place.
